Products that encourage to cherish the world around us and have an aesthetic appeal. Sometimes inspired by old crafts or traditions that are translated into the present like our New Kintsugi repair kit.

In project Sea Silt Ceramics we have been researching whether dredged sea silt could be used to produce a renewable circular (building)ceramic. The first face has been very promising. In the valorization process we joined forces together with Koninklijke Tichelaar (Ceramic factory), Groningen Seaports (owner of the harbor) and Deltares (technology institute) and working on a big scale valorization towards high end building material.
We are immediately looking for a highly talented and motivated intern who likes to think outside the box and wants to be involved in the whole design process. A love for ceramics would be handy. In this versatile internship you will work all-round on expending the Humade collection and custom-made designs, preparations for exhibitions and events.
You will participate and are involved in the entire process from research, concept, 2 and 3d design to end product, photography and communication and content realization. Regarding our Sea Silt Ceramic project, you will assist us on the scalability of this new circular material.
Profile
- Energetic, creative, product design talent.
- Strong eye for detail and sense of quality.
- Pro-active, can-do and hands on mentality.
- Following a BA or just graduated in design / industrial design.
- Good visual and technical 2d and 3d skills.
- Sharp graphic eye and eye for detail.
- Experienced in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design and 3d drawing program.
- Good in the English language in speech and writing.
