ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Senior CMF Designer to lead the creative vision for Color, Material & Finish across categories such as bikes, strollers, car seats and healthtech.
You define how products look, feel and age, shaping emotional connections between users and brands.
You bring sharp aesthetic intuition, deep material knowledge and a strong understanding of how CMF design creates identity and value.
Experience in the juvenile (strollers / car seats) or bike industry is essential — you understand how safety, comfort and style come together to form products people love.
This is a strategic and creative role with a fixed-term contract until December 2026, offering the chance to help shape MODYN’s next generation of award-winning mobility and lifestyle products.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
OWNING
Lead CMF design and direction across key mobility and lifestyle projects.
Act as the main CMF contact for clients, suppliers and production partners.
Translate brand DNA into distinctive CMF direction and identity.
Safeguard color and material quality from concept through production.
THINKING
Research and define trends, materials and color directions relevant to mobility and juvenile markets.
Combine sustainability, emotional appeal and manufacturability.
Inspire and guide the CMF and design teams with clear creative direction.
DOING
Create trend-driven moodboards, harmonies and material palettes.
Produce top-quality visualizations and illustrations using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and KeyShot (mandatory).
Develop production-ready color and finish specifications.
Present and visualize CMF concepts to international clients.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CMF, Industrial or Product Design.
- 7+ years of experience in CMF design for juvenile products or bikes/mobility.
- Strong aesthetic and storytelling ability in color, texture and finish.
- Excellent skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and KeyShot (required).
- Experience with coatings, plastics, textiles and sustainable materials.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch or German a plus).

PRACTICALS
Location: Hybrid – Geldermalsen (NL)
Contract: Fixed term until December 2026 and with the possibility of extension
Hours: Minimum 28 hours per week
Travel: Occasional within Europe (~20%)
