Our most obvious job is to help the designers perform their daily work. Our business and legal consultants are on standby to assist our members in dealing with the practical problems they find on their way.
We deal with these and similar issues. Setting up your own company; drawing up a business contract; setting hourly rates; fighting copyright infringement; as well as analyzing sickness absenteeism among employees. The BNO Secretariat has a personal help desk to help sort out all these issues and provides practical, useful advice.
The BNO has founded the Legal Assistance for Designers Foundation, which gives support and advices to BNO members facing litigation.
While the BNO champions the interest of associated designers, it feels that providing information and advice to customers requiring design work is very much part of its brief as well. So do not hesitate to call one of our experts. If they can help, they will. That could concern issues such as: helping to choose the right designer; briefing the designer; assessing the job done; and dealing with copyright or other legal affairs. We will gladly help you out.
