Take your work to the international stage. BNO members with up to ten years of professional experience can apply for one of 20 exclusive wildcard entries to the iF DESIGN AWARD.

BNO, Philips and the iF INTERNATIONAL FORUM DESIGN have set up a special cooperation which will support 20 projects to qualify directly for the Final Jury of the iF DESIGN AWARD 2027 – passing the usual online qualification round.

But not only that: the total costs for participation will be greatly reduced to just 1500 EUR in case of winning an award. If you are selected as a supported entry and the jury of the iF DESIGN AWARD does not select your project as an iF DESIGN AWARD winner, there are no costs at all involved. As a reminder: usual participation costs for winners range from 3500 to 4100 EUR depending on the time of registration and the discipline chosen.

Are you a BNO member with up to ten years of professional experience, and do you have a project ready for an international stage? Submit your project via the application form to receive one of the 20 slots available. But be fast: slots will be given out on a first come first served basis.

How to apply

Submit your project before September 21st, using the application form below and include:

  • A short project description (5–10 sentences);
  • A description of the design challenge and your design solution (5–10 sentences);
  • A relevant hyperlink to the project (website or Instagram account).

Only one project per BNO member can be submitted – so please only use the form once.
 By submitting your project, you agree that your contact details will be shared with iF Design. In case your project is selected, you will receive a special link to register for the iF DESIGN AWARD 2027 by the iF organizers, which will classify your project as supported in the iF registration system and the conditions described above will be applied.

Masterclass How to Win a Design Award?

Every year, thousands of designs compete for the attention of award juries.

The reality: jurors have only minutes to evaluate a submission, and many strong projects fail not because of the design itself, but because the story is unclear. In the masterclass, Inge Wagemakers, Design Competitions Manager and Peter Skillman, Global Head of Design at Philips, share what experienced jurors actually look for, how submissions are evaluated, and how to create images, texts, videos, and presentations that stand out.

All applicants are warmly invited to attend the masterclass How to Win a Design Award? on August 27th from 12 to 1pm. Expect practical guidance, real examples, and actionable tips you can apply immediately to your iF Design Awards submission.
