Warming up: A night about portfolio's
The YA Evening Sessions take place every night during Dutch Design Week, in our beautiful location at Sectie-C. Powered by the BNO together with a group of over 50 graduates.
The goal for these nights is to give everyone interested more insights in the design world. From practical tips to interesting questions raised, we hope you will take something away that helps you in strengthening your (future) career.
The second night is all about your warming up, creating the perfect portfolio. Because how can we get started, without a super portfolio?
We will present a group discussion with the following speakers:
Jeroen Disch, design lead at Grrr
Jan Paul van der Wijk, art director at NRC Handelsblad
LAVA, a visual storytelling agency based in Amsterdam and Beijing creating bold and colourful graphic elements.
Hanneke Brier from WdKA Master Design, where students learn to do design research in a personal way, constantly exchanging with participants and telling their stories in designs and visual essays.
We will discuss what your customers or future employers see as the go's or no's in a portfolio. We will hear speakers coming from all of the different disciplines. So whatever kind of (future) designer you are, come and join us!
The doors are open to everybody: graduates, design professionals, journalists or people just visiting Sectie-C at that time. For questions you can always e-mail Markus via firstname.lastname@example.org.
The time table:

19:15 Start of the talks
20:00 The bar is open, go meet the designers of YA and the speakers
