‘YA Hello’ is a series of meetings across the Netherlands organized by the next generation of designers, for the next generation of designers. These meetings will be organized before BNO regio meetings throughout the Netherlands. Together we discuss the ins and outs of finally being a design professional and learn from leading persons or companies from the creative industry.
#3 'Catching up'
It's been a while since you graduated, so let's catch up. We're curious to hear what keeps you busy, what are the opportunities you have seized and the challenges faced. Are you still serving coffee or speaking to clients?
This meeting is all about you, your chance to discuss the questions you might have, or share tips with fellow young designers. BNO invites you to Pakhuis de Zwijger and speak your mind. Of course we are present: besides projectmanagers Marsha and Markus, we're even bringing our business advisor Vicky Fasten to make sure no question will go unanswered.
What's the plan?
17h00 - Doors open
17h10 - Introduction of YA
17h15 - Showcasing the work you've created
18h00 - #daretoask, share your questions and tips with each other and Vicky, Marsha and Markus (BNO)
19h00 - End or programma and drinks / dinner
20h00 - Feel free to join It's All Graphic #5: About Illustration in the main hall of Pakhuis de Zwijger
Please note that there are limited tickets available.
Following YA Hello #3 you are welcome in the main hall of Pakhuis de Zwijger to join the fifth edition of 'It's all Graphic' which talks about illustration. This broad and diverse discipline has made a big transition throughout the years. We will look into new niches and old craftsmanship. With this programme we celebrate the launch of the website '1000illustraties.org', a project to preserve the work of the past for the future. Speakers are Rogier Trompert, Kim Raad, Arent Benthem (in60seconds) and Markus Praat & Gert Gerrits from BNO.
What is YA?
YA stands for Young Alumni. It represents the movement of young design alumni in the Netherlands.
Each year hundreds of designers graduate at Dutch design schools. They all can't wait to kickstart their career. But pretty much all of them have in common that they have no experience with the social and business sides of the design field. BNO takes the leap together with these designers to guide them through the first years after graduating. YA! offers information, knowledge, skills, a network and a stage so that they can develop themselves into a true professional.
Are you a young design professional? Feel free to join!
