About us

SLIMDESIGN develops consumer electronics ranging from Camera’s, Computer electronics and Internet of Things devices. In our designs, we look for the bare essence and use an integral development process.

We work closely with an electronics development agency and several UX- and App-developers and it allows us to develop complex products fast and efficient from idea to production. We do this for companies like Panasonic, Philips, Nike and ambitious start-ups. Our studio is situated in the city centre on the waterfront 10 min walk from the Central Station.


You are

  • A fun, social, creative, proactive and independent Industrial designer with a positive attitude;

  • Extremely motivated and a passion for design and technology (engineering);

  • European citizen or in position of an EU work- and residence permit.

You have

  • Technical design engineering education and knowledge of production technics;

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the development of consumer products;

  • Strong sense of design and engineering with a clear methodical approach;

  • Affinity with electronic products and Internet of Things;

  • Excellent hand drawings, photoshop visualizations and CAD rendering skills;

  • Expert knowledge of SolidWorks, KeyShot and Adobe programs;

  • Fluent English writing and speaking skills;

  • A ‘minimalistic’ design style where the form is used to improve the functionality.

You can

  • Take care of the communications with the client;

  • Redefine the brief, create a product strategy and do the analysis;

  • Sketch astonishing product visualizations (hand and computer);

  • Create technical feasible ideas, concepts and product configurations;

  • Set-up the technical construction and determining the production methods;

  • Develop and refine the parts in 3D CAD;

  • Finalise the detailing and define Colour, Materials and Finishes;

  • Create photo realistic visualisations;

  • Help with the final Mechanical Engineering;

  • Estimate the final production price and the required investments;

  • Make the risk analysis, validation procedure and coordinating the prototyping;

  • Determine, outsourcing and supervising the production tooling.
