Emotion Studio is looking for a full-time intern for 5-6 months, starting as soon as possible but preferably before March 2020.
We are Emotion Studio, a research & design agency in the heart of Rotterdam. We study people’s emotions and behavior, and create new products and services that makes them happier. We help our clients to innovate, but we also run our own projects, such as the Kickstarter that we will be launching soon.
We are looking for a Master design student who loves doing user research and concept development, and who wants to experience working at a design research agency. As an Emotion Studio intern, you will fully participate in our projects. This means going on interviews, analyzing data, ideating new solutions, building prototypes, and organizing workshops. Your company mentor will supervise and guide you along the way. You will work in small teams, so you can show what you are capable of.
We will be working on a variety of projects the coming months, in the domains of food, medical, mobilty and the social sector.
Who are you?
You are a Master student in a human-centered design discipline (e.g., industrial design, design for interaction, strategic design);
You are interested in understanding what makes people tick;
You like to use creative problem-solving to tackle difficult challenges;
You have strong visualization skills and know your way around Adobe CC;
You have special skills that you can apply in your work, such as creative facilitation, or video editing skills;
You are pro-active and like getting things done;
A bonus if you have followed relevant courses, such as courses on design & emotion, design for behavior change, user experience, etc.
You will be working in a young, close-knit team of innovators. We are part of Kleinhandel, the startup community of the Groothandelsgebouw (directly next to Rotterdam central station). This will make you part of a creative community that organizes drinks, rooftop barbecues, and a legendary Christmas party.
