While the number of residencies for designers, makers and architects around the world is growing, understanding the opportunities, expectations and forms of international residencies can be daunting. What happens before, during and after a residency? What can it bring to a host organisation or a local context? What mutual responsibilities and opportunities do residencies offer?

During this International Clinic, the world of residencies will be explored through conversations with practitioners. They will share their experiences of recent residency programmes and how they have shaped their practice.

DutchCulture will introduce their platform TransArtists and the Creative Industries Fund NL will present residency opportunities abroad.
