MAST is multidisciplinary creative design studio based in Amsterdam. We specialise in spatial experiences that tell impactful stories and spark the imagination.
Blending interior and exhibition design with multimedia art and digital technology, our work is rooted in a shared passion for aesthetics and storytelling. We believe in the narratives behind our projects and strive to tell them beautifully through high quality craftsmanship and design.
From brand moments, to public spaces, to cultural exhibitions, we approach each one of our designs holistically, anticipating every step of the visitor’s journey. Working closely with our partners and extended network of experts in various fields, we support our clients through the entire design process, from conception to completion.
As designers we are conscious of what we create and strive to make design choices based on both quality and environmental impact. Our goal is to create innovative and imaginative solutions to our clients’ needs in the most sustainable way possible.
Who are we looking for?
Studio MAST offers spatial design for exhibitions, experiences and brands. We are a small international team based in Amsterdam working on projects around the world (office language English). We’re looking for interns eager to learn about communication inside exhibitions (Enrolled in Science communication studies or similar) and strong interest in museums. Knowledge of design in general and design software is a plus.
What do we offer?
We offer a friendly work atmosphere in the center of Amsterdam. Our office is located next to the Brouwerij IJ. We have a spacious office with daily lunch, table soccer and darts. We are working with national and international clients such as Nemo, Swatch or Pink Gellac. We share the office with a digital agency (20+ people).
There is a possibility to attend meetings, workshops and shop approvals (factory visits to check our designs) with clients. Internship duration is 5-6 month. We offer a compensation fee of 400 Euros per month (based on a 5 day work week), daily lunch and reimbursement for a museum card (70 Euros).
You
- Background in Science Communication
- Strong interest in exhibition design and exhibit development
- Knowledge of collaboration tools such as Miro and Figma
- Able to work on presentations (Keynote)
